1. Are people talking to this feed?
2. Is the feed responsive and engaging?
3. Is content being shared?
4. Are they giving credit to the people whose content they use?
5. When people Tweet at them do they respond at all?
I took a look at several social media marketing company’s feeds. It was shocking to me how many had more than 95% of their mentions being, “thanks for the follow.” On top of that, they never responded! They never engaged followers in conversation. They never sent shout outs because they weren’t engaging with anyone! If a social media company you are considering is like this, you may want to consider working with someone else. They clearly don’t understand the tools they are telling you they are experts in.
